WELCOME to the nursery at Koinonia Fellowship, Calvary Chapel Eastside. We hope that both parents and children will feel at home here. Our primary purpose is to facilitate and enhance your family's time of worship, study and service by providing a safe, sanitary, and loving environment for your child(ren).

PROCEDURES

The following procedures will make it simple and easy to use the nursery:

  1. Each child should be signed in by a parent. At the counter, matching ID bands will be placed on both child and parent. These bands MUST stay on until the child is picked up after service. The same parent that drops the child off must also pick them up. (In the event that you are not able to pick up the child, let the sign-in attendant know in advance. A picture ID may need to be required at the time of pick up.) Please give any special instructions, allergies, medical concerns etc. to the attendant at this time.   Once the child is signed in, you may then take your child to their room.

    Infant Room - Birth - 18 months
    Toddler Room- 18month - 3 years

For the safety of all the children please do not enter the Infant or Toddler Rooms . If the parent is needed for any reason during service the last 3 digits on their band will be flashed on the call box
  2. A registration card must be completed once a year.
  3. In the event of an emergency evacuation DO NOT go to the nursery . Pick up your child in the park behind the church.
  4. It is hard to say goodbye. Our experience has been that it is easier on all parties to make it short and sweet. Let your child know that the nursery is a safe place to play and be with friends. Tell him you will be back to get him in a short time.
  5. Parents are requested to pick up their child as soon as possible at the end of each church service. Please sign your child out when you pick them up.

POLICIES

The following policies are designed to benefit you and your child:

  1. Please bring only well children to the nursery. Sick children endanger the health of other children and adults. Please do not bring your child to the nursery if he/she has had any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours: diarrhea, vomiting, fever, questionable rash, open sores, runny nose (anything but clear), coughing, contagious illnesses, conjunctivitis (pink eye) or sore throat.
  2. If your child is on antibiotics, he/she needs to have been on the drug for 24 hours prior to coming to the nursery. Nursery servers are not allowed to give medication to any child.
  3. Parents are asked to label all bottles and other belongings with the child. Please use the "JESUS LOVES ME" tag, provided to you when your child has been registered, to label your diaper bag.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS

We encourage our parents to become involved in the operation of the nursery. Parents may volunteer once a quarter, once a month, or may be placed on our "on-call" list when regular servers are limited. Participation is an opportunity to acquaint yourself with the servers as well as your child's playmates. Please call or see Jody Sanborn to place your name on the schedule or "on-call" list. We appreciate the extra hands and loving hearts.

Parents are invited to discuss any concerns with the Toddler Coordinator, Carl Ceasor @ 889-1488, Infant Coordinator, Jody Sanborn @ 392-0928 or our Children's Pastor, Casey Fabiano @ 385-0450.
