Dear Parent,

SPECIAL UPDATE:

We will be updating our check-in procedures over the next few months.  Please refer to the KidCheck link on our home page; more information will be coming shortly.

Also, we will be making some changes related to our Sunday morning curriculum for our pre-school and elementary age children.  We will be telling you more about this in the coming months as we plan to adopt some new curriculum for Fall 2010.  Please keep this whole process in prayer.

Your family is important to the  leadership of Koinonia.  We want to support your role as spiritual leader to your child.

In an effort to provide the highest quality Sunday school for your child we are currently using FaithWeaver Bible Curriculum.  FaithWeaver makes Bible learning fun, and uses a variety of active experiences to help students learn in the ways they learn best.  We want to partner with you in your child's growth in Christ.  As a parent, you are the most important spiritual teacher for your child.  The most powerful influenc e on children's faith development is the conversations about faith that take place at home. Using the resources that are a part of FaithWeaver, you can make a huge contribution to your child's growth in Christ by leading activities and discussions that help make connections and apply what is learned at church to daily life.

  • Every week your child will receive a take-home paper that includes ideas for family discussions and activities that will help cement what your child learns at church.
  • Check out the Home Connect Internet updates at the FaithWeaver web site, just click on "HomeConnect" for links on the Internet that families can explore together to reinforce weekly Bible Points.  These ideas are created specifically to help families grow closer as they grow in relationship with Jesus!

We also want to ensure the safety of your child. This is the reason for the sign in sheets and wrist bands.  We take the safety and security of your child very seriously.  Please make sure that you are signing in your child, leaving them with a competent leader and placing the wristband on your wrist prior to leaving the sign in area.? Thank you for your help in this matter.  We ask that your or a responsible teen from your family sign your child in and out.  Please do not have elementary students signing out your children.  Thank you for your help and cooperation with this.

God bless you,

Pastor Casey
